SANBORNTON — During a "soft opening" of Granite Life NH Candies, Gifts and Tees last Saturday, country musician Nicole Knox Murphy strummed both original and cover tunes from the front porch while owners Christine, George and Evan Boyer welcomed customers who dropped by over the weekend to pick up special treats for Mother's Day.

The Boyer family is gathering all the best in the local "sweets industry" under one roof.

"We've already had people ordering fudge, then calling back the next day to order more," the family said. "All we care about is offering someone a great product. We want this to become a destination; a place where people say, 'Hey, I gotta go back! That was really great fudge.'"

Once officially opened, the business will also sell high-end chocolates and other great candies. In an adjacent shop, their son Evan will offer quality Granite Life NH tee shirts, hats and sweatshirts of his own design, as well as other gift items.

As they finish up the final landscaping and shop details, the Boyers anticipate being open full time by the end of May. Until then, they invite everyone to place orders for their creamy fudge or delicious candy and caramel apples by calling or texting them at 603-321-2046.
