Eagle harriers kick off the new season at Great Glen

PINKHAM NOTCH — The Kennett cross country team was one of the final teams to start competition this fall season, as the Eagles opened things up with the Paul Letarte Invitational on Saturday at Great Glen Trails in Pinkham Notch.

The Kennett girls started the season strong, finishing in second place on the day, behind only Division I power Keene.

Amy Burton led the charge for Kennett, finishing in a time of 21:25 for sixth place overall.

Grace Perley finished in a time of 27:25 for 10th place and teammate Piper Lopashanski was right behind in 11th place with a time of 22:25.

Kaylee McLellan finished in a time of 23:06 for 13th place and Ella Ugino rounded out the field of Eagle scorers with a time of 23:20 for 14th place.

McKayla Dockham finished in a time of 24:12 for 21st place, just ahead of Rylie Walker, who finished in 24:12.93 for 22nd place.

In the boys' race, Ben Biche was tops for Kennett, finishing in 19:03 for 19th place.

Tristen Smith finished in 21st place with a time of 19:14 and Patrick Laughlin finished with a time of 19:34 for 25th place.

Nolan Proulx rounded out the field of Eagles in the varsity race with a time of 21:06 for 41st place.

Molly Dellavalla got the win in the JV race for the girls, finishing in a time of 24:22, with Stephanie Kendzierski in second place in 24:44, Catherine Shackford in fourth place in 25:35, Mara Taylor in fifth place in 26:26, Eliah Feil in seventh place in 27:49 and Zoe Graves in 14th place in 30:49.

Om Pital ran for the boys in the JV race, finishing in 30:23 for 28th place overall.

The Eagles are slated to run at White Mountains Regional on Saturday, Sept. 18.
