WHITEFIELD — The Kennett baseball team traveled north to Whitefield on Saturday for a game with White Mountains Regional and rallied for a 5-4 win over the Spartans.

Harrison Keeler got the start on the hill for the Eagles and kept the Spartans off the board for the first three innings while his team got him three runs of support in the top of the second inning.

Noah Barrows had a one-out base hit and Brady Robitaille reached on an error. Sean Regnier was hit by a pitch to load the bases and then a groundout by Jack Robinson plated the game's first run. Parker Coleman followed with a two-run base hit to push the Kennett lead to 3-0.

White Mountains came back and scored three runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth inning, using three walks, a sacrifice and a couple of hits to tie the game.

The Spartans then pushed across another run in the bottom of the sixth inning on a double, a walk and a fielder's choice, giving them the 4-3 lead heading to the final inning.

Kennett scored twice in the top of the seventh inning. Robinson led off with a walk and went to third on a double by Coleman and scored on a base hit by Bridger Viger. Coleman then scored on a sacrifice fly to left by Brady King, giving the Eagles the 5-4 lead.

Keeler then set the side down in order in the bottom of the seventh to give the Eagles the victory.

Kennett is scheduled to host Kingswood on Monday, May 3, and will be at Kingswood on Wednesday, May 5, both with 4 p.m. starts.
