East Wakefield Fall Festival celebrates community this Saturday

October 10, 2018
WAKEFIELD — This Saturday, Oct. 13, the Wakefield business community will sponsor its sixth free Fall Festival in East Wakefield, at Woodman Corner, the junction of Routes 153 and 110 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Festival celebrates community spirit and offer something for fun-seekers of all ages.

Free activities planned for the event include a Build a Scarecrow Contest, a Beef Stew Contest, a Bake Sale and Penny Sale, an Obstacle Course and Antique Car Meet. Participants can take fire truck and hay rides, enjoy free food tasting, popcorn and ice cream scoops. Youngsters can play in a bouncy house and take pony rides. There will also be a Cake Walk and a photo booth. A DJ will provide music and provide an open mike for Karaoke and budding performers.

In addition to all these free events, there will be Festival vendors and popular East Wakefield restaurants and stores right at the site. And, of course, it is fall foliage time, the perfect time for a fun day outside.

And we will be there to capture the good times.

The East Wakefield Fall Festival is sponsored by Blue Bay Seafood & Steaks, Country Goods & Groceries, DubePlus Construction, The Greater Wakefield Chamber of Commerce, The New Deal store, Profile Bank, Seven Lake Snowmobile Club, Sharper Image Salon, and State Line Garage.

Enjoy a wonderful fall day in East Wakefield from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday.

In the event of rain, the Festival will be held on Sunday, Oct. 14.
