July 17, 2017WOLFEBORO — The Wolfeboro Masonic Summer Racing Series kicked off on Thursday, July 13, at Abenaki Ski Area.
The race included a one-mile fun run and a 5K that brought out a number of runners to the trails surrounding the ski area.
Seth Richardson of Wolfeboro was the overall winner in the 5K, finishing in a time of 26:30, with Cam Stinchfield of Wakefield finishing in second place in 26:38 and Ryan Welts of Tamworth in third place in 26:41.
Abbey Wood of Laconia finished first among women, placing fourth in 29:22 with Keri Bassingthwaite of Wentworth finishing in fifth overall in 31:26 to place as the second woman.
Ben Factor of Wolfeboro finished in sixth place in 31:32, with Luke Bassingthwaite of Wentworth in a time of 36:33 for seventh place. At 11, he was the youngest competitor in the 5K race.
Mike Jacobs of Wolfeboro finished in 36:49 for eighth place, followed by Mitch Merrow of Wolfeboro in 36:57 and Scott Graham of Moultonborough in 37:01. Sarah Bellefleur of Wolfeboro placed 11th overall in 37:16, followed by Allison Hayford of Ossipee in 38:27 and Micaela Flagg of Wolfeboro in 39:27. Emma Bellefleur crossed in a time of 40:16, Abigail Rooney of Milton finished in 47:18 and Natasha Robichaud of Rochester finished in 47:21.
The series continues tonight, July 20, and then again on Thursday, July 27, with a kids' run starting at 6 p.m., the one-mile run starting at 6:05 p.m. and the 5K starting at 6:30 p.m. at Abenaki Ski Area in Wolfeboro.
