June 06, 2018REGION — A major drug sweep, Operation Northern Alliance, conducted by several agencies and law enforcement departments, resulted in the arrest of at least 21 people in the region. Fifteen of those arrested are from the Berlin, Gorham, or Milan. Most arrests were drug related.
The arrests occurred on Thursday, May 24.
Involved in the operation and investigation in a collaborative effort were the Berlin Police Department, Gorham Police Department, Groveton Police Department, Lancaster Police Department, Whitefield Police Department, Colebrook Police Department, Coos County Sheriff's Office, DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, Attorney General's Drug Task Force, and the New Hampshire State Police (comprised of members from the Mobile Enforcement Team (MET), Narcotics Investigations Unit (NIU), and Troop F and Troop G).
"The goal of this operation was to investigate and arrest individuals in New Hampshire distributing heroin, fentanyl and opioid-based narcotics along with other illicit drugs," a press release stated.
Those arrested during the operation were:
Scott J. Towle of 594 Cheshire St., Berlin for Felony- possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute.
Amanda Labonville of 20 Pine St., Gorham, for a Misdemeanor- receiving stolen property.
Orlando Valle of 138 East Milan Rd., Berlin, who was charged with being a fugitive from justice, a felony.
Skyla Placey, of 295 School St., Berlin: Felony- possession of a controlled substance; misdemeanor- transporting drugs in a motor vehicle.
Allegra Dyer of 205 State St., Berlin: Felony- possession of controlled drug (two counts); electronic bench warrant for DUI impairment (non-appearance at court).
David Levchuk of 13 Memory Lane, Gorham: Felony- burglary.
David Mulinski of 555 First Ave., Berlin: Misdemeanor- simple Assault, attempted simple assault, disorderly conduct, and operating after suspension or revocation.
Johnathan Bailey of 64 Pershing Ave., Berlin: Felony - possession of controlled drug (two counts); theft by deception
Donald Guerin of 3 Exchange St., Gorham: Conduct after an accident.
Ronda Deltufo of 799 Second Ave., Berlin: Felony – possession of controlled drug (two counts).
Zachary Gagne of 256 West Milan Rd., Milan: Felony - possession of controlled Drug (three counts); Transporting drugs in motor vehicle.
Samantha Labbe, of 533 Goebel St., Berlin: Two electronic bench warrants (town ordinance and controlled drug act).
Chantal Lesperance of 1408 Napert St., Berlin: Electronic bench warrant (driving after revocation or suspension, non-payment of fine; acts prohibited).
Brian Miller of 509 Champlain St., Berlin: Electronic bench warrant (theft by deception).
Cody Curtis of 19 State St., Groveton: Misdemeanor- conduct after an accident, taking without owners consent, and operating after suspension or revocation; Felony- sales of a controlled drug heroin or fentanyl.
Joshua Warren of Brown Road, Groveton: Misdemeanor- criminal mischief, OHRV violation, wetlands violation.
Kimberly Savoie of Second Street, Groveton: Electronic bench warrant (theft by deception).
Benjamin Boutin of Second Street, Groveton: Felony- possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute.
Daniel Roy of State Street, Groveton: Misdemeanor- transporting drugs in a motor vehicle.
Shawn Mclain of Brooklyn Street, Groveton: Electronic bench warrant (theft).
Kelly Murray of 238 Collins St., Berlin: Misdemeanor- willful concealment.
The investigation is on-going and more arrests are anticipated.
"Further joint efforts are planned between Federal, State, Local, and County Law enforcement agencies in Northern New Hampshire," the press release stated.
